How I Solved the Messy Mic Stand Problem on Stage

My Mic Stand / Pedalboard Mounting Solution

If you’ve ever played a live gig with a crowded pedalboard setup, you know the frustration: carrying an extra heavy tripod mic stand, trying to weave its legs around your board, and having it wobble or creep away mid-song.

I designed a custom, heavy-duty Mic Pole Pedalboard Mount printed in PETG. It attaches your microphone pole directly to your pedalboard frame, freeing up stage real estate and eliminating the need for a tripod base.

Built for Live Performance

  • Rock-Solid Stability: Clamps securely directly onto your board so your mic moves with your rig.

  • Angles for Every Rig: Available in 0° (FLAT), 8° (PedalTrain / Temple), and 10° (Rockboard / Temple) to keep your pole vertical regardless of board incline.

  • Multiple Pole Sizes: Fits 20mm, 22mm, 25.5mm, and 27.5mm mic shafts.

  • Quick-Release Design: Uses a quick-release bicycle clamp so you can set up or pack down in seconds after a set.

  • DIY Hardware Needed:

    • Quick-Release Bicycle Clamp: 28.6mm clamp for 20mm–25.5mm poles (or 31.8mm clamp for 27.5mm poles).

    • Bolts: 2x M6 x 30mm hex bolts & nuts (or longer M6 bolts if your board uses extra-thick hollow rails).
